Play it by ear → 상황을 보고 결정하기
"Play it by ear"은 계획을 하기보단 상황을 지켜보고 되는데로 하려고 하는 것이다.
Play it by ear (phrase) - proceed instinctively according to results and circumstances rather than according to rules or a plan.

They are just playing it by ear. → 저 사람들 그냥 되는데로 상황보고 하려는거야.
